Donations of time, funds and supplies help our organization improve the lives of the most needy children and families of Homestead and Florida City. Volunteers can help in the classroom, during fundraising events, and even in the office. Please see below to learn how you can donate your time to make a difference in the lives of these children. Volunteers
Volunteers are an integral part of the success of our organization. Volunteering provides an opportunity to brighten the lives of children in the classroom and connect with your local community. Volunteering with us also can provide great skills to place on your resume and may even provide preference of hire for open positions. We always welcome volunteers to read to the children, assist the teaching staff, enter data in our computer software, clean, serve food, and more. There's a place for everyone to help at Le Jardin! In-kind Donations
In-kind contributions are donations of goods, services or time — instead of cash. In-kind services are professional services donated by groups such as corporations, small businesses, vendors, colleges, individual professionals or tradespeople. An in-kind donation involving time occurs when people give their time free of charge or for payment by a third party on the nonprofit's behalf. Le Jardin Community Center is able to further enhance the lives of the neediest children and families of Homestead and Florida City with donations from generous contributors like you. The tablet you see the right was a generous donation for Hatch computers for our classrooms several years ago. Children use this technology to play educational games, read interactive books and realize that learning is not only important, but also fun! Your generous donations help us make dreams like this a reality for these children.
Every donation to our program helps us provide services to the children and families whom need it the most. There is no donation too small. Classroom supplies, educational toys, age-appropriate books, etc. are all great ways you can support us as we help improve our local community.
